Hello Everyone, In this Video, I have Discussed About Auto-Land Feature of Airbus A320 and How do the pilots use this to land on No Visibility Circumstances.
Auto-Landing is a very new feature in these modern days, where the unpredictable weathers are like a usual member of every flights. Also sometime in winters when there are fogs in the time of Landing, Pilots use this feature to land safely as they cannot see the runway.
Auto-Lands are having decision height from 50 ft. or exact zero decision height. But if the Pilot can able to see any obstacle on the runway, they can abort the landing and follow a simple Go-Around Procedure.
Auto-Land is simple. Do the checklists as per the normal sop's and then before the time of landing, (appx.10nm. to 20nm.) Arm the APPR push button and then arm the either AP pushbutton. The Aircraft will automatically take the control and it will maneuver itself according to G/S and the LOC of the Runway.
