Connect with the element of air with this 15 minute breathwork class for all levels.

Hi everyone, thank you for joining me in this air themed yoga class! We're doing something a bit different today, rather than focusing on asanas (yoga poses), we will be doing pranayama (breathwork). I figured this would be the best way for us to really tap into the element of air.

Air is all about intellect, inspiration, connection, mental clarity and communication. Each element has polarity, it can be intense like a tornado or calm like the air around us. We can have our head up in the clouds or use air for mental clarity. The idea is to find balance!

In this class I'll take you through Breath of Joy which is a dynamic exercise that we do standing. I'll then integrate a kundalini practice which is seated twist exercise that is also quite active. We will then do a static breathwork exercise which is sama vritti pranayama also called box breath. Finally we will end with brahmari/humming bee breath. Enjoy!

Just finished this session and I feel better. I needed something to allow me to breathe and meditate a little deeper as an over thinker with trauma who woke up at 4 from a nightmare. My mind wasnt focused. Then got notification you uploaded this video. It helped get my mind back to focus with the breath works. Thank you for sharing your gift of knowledge. I'll have to message you on your social media about how you've helped me. Been following you and doing your videos for over 2 years now. Made me want to look into yoga as an instructor as well. My mind feels so much clearer, less cluttered and more focused. There is less going on and I feel like I have more space to breathe in my body as well as my mind, if that makes sense. My body feels more alert and less sluggish. Thank you so very much Kassandra – this was my first breathing-only yoga class! I enjoyed it so very much! And the humming breath work almost felt like a sound bath 💫

This class is exactly what I needed, I've been having lots of anxiety and overthinking due to trauma and grief. I was letting the negative energy and imagination take over and was finding it difficult to settle my mind and emotions. My normal anxiety-focused yoga classes were not working but added this on at the end and I feel a lot calmer and clearer.
Thanks so much, I will be re-doing this class in the future.

Usually I am a bit impatient with breathwork, I went for it anyway and my sinuses feel cleared and a bit warm and fuzzy in my head which is nice. I think I actually needed this so thank you!

I just did this at bed time. Sometimes I do alternate nostril breathing at bedtime. This was so unusual and just brilliant. I feel so relaxed now and ready to sleep. Thank you xx
