Connect with the element of air with this 15 minute breathwork class for all levels.
Hi everyone, thank you for joining me in this air themed yoga class! We're doing something a bit different today, rather than focusing on asanas (yoga poses), we will be doing pranayama (breathwork). I figured this would be the best way for us to really tap into the element of air.
Air is all about intellect, inspiration, connection, mental clarity and communication. Each element has polarity, it can be intense like a tornado or calm like the air around us. We can have our head up in the clouds or use air for mental clarity. The idea is to find balance!
In this class I'll take you through Breath of Joy which is a dynamic exercise that we do standing. I'll then integrate a kundalini practice which is seated twist exercise that is also quite active. We will then do a static breathwork exercise which is sama vritti pranayama also called box breath. Finally we will end with brahmari/humming bee breath. Enjoy!
