This video shows you how to access a MySQL database from a .NET Core application by using Entity Framework Core (EF Core for short). In the future, there will be more videos about LINQ query to database base on the application created in this video.

Absolutely outstanding, I went to MSDN and end up pulling my hair out hence the picture. If only found this video sooner. Thank you, Timothy Liu.

I am following your c# tutorials, you make it easy to understand. Thank you for your high quality video. I am now stopped by the Android emulator, it looks stopping there when trying deployment. My windows10 is running in VMware and the host is a workstation, I believe it is powerful enough to run a simulator. The only discrepancy is my visual studio is 2019 community, compare to your tutorial with 2017, it has a new interface and maybe I select a wrong simulator…

Hi Timothy. I am actually working on a project for work that has the exact requirement. I wish that I had seen your video earlier. Great stuff 🙏🙏.
I have a question though:
"Since the database context was created using the provided sql connection string, will all queries(in my case using Linq) be directed to the sql database server automatically every single time?"
For example I have a stored procedure like the following:
var db = new dbcontext();
string id;
t.id == id)
I did not mention the sql database server at all, will the query always know which database server to get the data from without setting up a sql connection in my project?

Hello, do you know if it's possible to use EF Core with Amazon Aurora MySQL? How should we setup the connection string then?

Great video!! Sadly, this doesn't appear to work with EFCore 2.2.3 - can you confirm?

Hi, is there anyway to use EF Core 2.0 with MySQL for database first approach but without using scaffold method to generate the model?
