Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the very few actors I actually have a lot of respect for, because he's freaking earned it, over and over again.

Arnold Swarzenneger spoke out against Trump and the right wing extremists he was snuggling up to when Trump was new in office and no other Republicans had disagreed with him, resigned or opposed him in any way. That was a close to a heroic act politically. I’ll always be grateful for his absolute commitment to going out on that limb just because it was the right thing to do. He has a profound and unforgettable message for people swept up in the far right, and all of us should be paying attention.

Arnold is actually intelligent, which makes him different from many politicians.

He has a particularly unique perspective that I would take seriously - he knows what he's talking about, from the perspective of a young person in Austria at a time when he personally witnessed what it did to his father - what it's like to be an immigrant that rose to such heights in the United States - what freedom really is - and the creeping authoritarianism that seems to be trying to accelerate in our country, hopefully they are over reaching enough for our people to get together and defeat it before it's too late -

How many people here have even met the man in person? I did. In 94 I was working in sun valley and he was in a condo at the resort. I literally ran into him on my skateboard and he picked me up like I was made of paper. He was so polite and apologetic that I forgot my skateboard and he personally brought it to the hotel and gave it back to me. He's a winner and a really great person.

His last act should be to drive his EV Hummer through Mar-a-lago gates and proclaim "I'm back! I'm here to stand for justice in America"

In the 1973 movie "The Long Goodbye, " starring Elliot Gould and Sterling Hayden, there is a scene where Gould, playing Philip Marlowe, is muscled in to see the boss bad guy. One of the "muscle" men is indeed extremely well-muscled, as evidenced when the men in the scene strip down to their skivvies. His muscles really stand out from the other men in the scene. The muscle man has no speaking lines and he disappears from the movie. When viewers watched this film 50 years ago, nobody would've ever thought the muscle man without a speaking part would go on to become one of Hollywood's biggest mega stars ever, and become governor of California.

I worked in the California Legislature while Schwarzenegger was governor, and honestly he was not very good at it. He lacked political acumen and mundane public policy seemed to bore him. But I really do appreciate the role he has played in recent years, especially standing up to Trump/MAGA and speaking out against anti-Semitism and neo-Nazis. My dad fought the Nazis in WWII and spent three years in German POW camps and suffered terribly. Schwarzenegger's father was a Nazi, and in a way a victim of the Hitler regime as well. I feel that kinship with Schwarzenegger and really appreciate his voice in these times.

The fact that Schwarzenegger is intelligent is what makes him interesting. I've always liked him for that.

It’s unfortunate Schwarzenegger is not eligible to run for President

Arnold's one of the few Republicans I don't disagree with flat out.
He's practically a Liberal.

What makes you think that “gods” can’t be 75 and still remain “godly”. Life does not end until it ends (and for all I know, does not end then either) half of my family lived till their late 90’s into their 100’s, fully functional. The other half started dying in their late 40’s. I figure I’m either on borrowed time or I could have another 35 years. I live each day as if it might be my last, but I have long term plans as well. And I am not wasting time on worrying about whether you think I am old.

Each individual accomplishment he attained in his life is extremely rarely attained in one person’s life… let alone all he accomplished. Bodybuilding may not be a « conventional » sport but what it requires brings it way above many other sports… and at the level he brought himself to, it’s unthinkable.
Me take is, he’s so above the « normal » crowd (everyone has flaws btw) it baffles people to the point where they do not know how to react and/or do not appreciate. He definitely sets an example and inspires.

"Reality Distortion Field". A great way to describe Trumps effect on everything.
