In the light novel, this actually happened 2 years before Atsushi joined the Agency, and was essentially Dazai’s entrance exam. And was one of the first times these two worked together, making the display of teamwork even more amazing

I really like how they didn't approach this as some kind of character/ability growth moment bcs of a difficult enemy. Their abilities just don't match, so they just switch for obvious convenience, and that's it.

the best part is that according to the actual timeine, this sene happened a mere week or so (three days?) after kunikida and dazai ever met, and yet theyre so in-sync and co-ordinated, it never fails to amaze me

fun fact for u guys :
the whole azure messenger arc was supposed to be dazai's entrance exam which is not including atsushi and it's happened in much much before atsushi's entrance (if you read the manga from the start you won't see this arc tho)
i've read dazai's entrance exam light novel and still blaming bones studio for including this arc just to add the episodes, both dazai and kunikida having hot asf scenes in light novel version and we can't ever see that being animated😩

Comparing Soukoku and these two are unfair. When it comes to pure offensive power and takedown, obviously Soukoku is leagues ahead due to Chuuya’s cracked ability. However, if you put Soukoku into the ADA, they’d literally never get shit done due to their personalities and people skills. Kunikida and Dazai would never work out in Port Mafia due to Kunikida’s strong ideals and rational thinking, but that’s exactly what Dazai needs to ground him in the ADA.

Anyways, that’s why the 3 of them should form a team together and solo Goku.
