I always thought that I liked System of a Down because I was a freshman and they were getting more attention because it was the whole "emo, dark, emotional, politcal" climate musically at the time, but years later I realize they're still a great band.

I've always thought of this song to be about killing ones own ego. People with too big of an ego often have a perception of the world that does not extend beyond themselves, and are short sighted (when you lose small mind you free your life) Because once you can do that, you can actually drop your insecurities and thrive. I really really really LOVE this song. It's incredibly deep and its just so awesome. It's perfect in every way. I can hear it on replay and I know I will never grow tired from it.
