I liked that saying. Never thought about it the way you’ve put it here. Thanks for new perspective.

I like the focus and view you have but, I also think that the intention of that saying is to encourage living right because it's the fruit of following God. Then from there as people see you they are able to understand through your life the spoken word🙌🏽

I agree Preston! Excellent. We NEED proclamation of the Word, we just have to seek and submit to the Holy Spirit on how to do so, and of course live the life…Amen! 🙏🏽🙏🏽✝️

The Word is what gives life. Not my life. It’s the Word of God. Jesus compel us to preach the Word . I love you guys.❤

Couldn’t agree more with that new saying cuz like my mom to this day still says preach the gospel and if necessary use words” and it always bothered me but I didn’t know how to articulate why and that’s it! It should be yes live a life that testifies to Gods righteousness working in you so that when you are led to share the good news your ready! And yes there is a verse that says how will they hear the good news unless someone goes and shares it with them ❤

Love it ❤ 🔥

On the apologetics comment, I would agree that it is not required to be effective but I think it is essential for believers today to know some core information like the evidence behind the death and resurrection of Jesus. This I believe because we today are not eyewitnesses to the events themselves so our head knowledge needs to catch up to our spirit conviction concerning the death and resurrection of Christ.

The early Church didn't really need to know apologetics in the way that I believe believers today should equip themselves on. That's because had you, for instance, asked the Apostle Thomas what convinces him that Jesus rose from the dead, he would have simply told you that he saw him with his own two eyes. No believer today can say that so they should equip themselves with that knowledge.

But again, the Holy Spirit is amazing in that He brings conviction to us on the reality of Jesus' death and resurrection and a whole lot more even though we have never seen with our physical eyes. But I believe strongly that because we are not eyewitnesses, we believers today should make effort to learn and that our minds be aligned to the conviction we have in our spirit.
