Executioners werent paid badly, they had pretty good pay. Most of the executioners werent just good at swinging axe and beheading, they were also interrogators and torture professionals. Giant downside of being a executioner is that you have a terrible reputation in your community.

Ty for recognizing coal mining as a hard job…..My great grandfather lost his brothers because they were coal miners and so he never let his children (my grandpa included) work in the coal mines because he didn’t want to lose them too

That is a pretty good list. People think they have it bad now. I live in Appalachia and I have heard stories. Every job was hell in 1900. People were the first robots and unlike slaves, they were disposable.
