Samsung's Rollable Phone - SURPRISE SURPRISE !!

So, Samsung is preparing to launch the world’s first *rollable phone*. While we’ve seen rollable phones in the past, they were just concept devices, meaning you couldn’t buy them. However, Samsung’s upcoming phone will be commercially available, which is incredibly exciting.
This move from Samsung highlights the ongoing competition between tech giants like Huawei and Samsung, continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation and design.

... Great for Samsung that they finally try to heat the competition up in this field... There are 3 areas they won't catch up on Huawei: 1. design, they lack the craftsmanship and the thin batteries, 2. Battery life, they don't have as dense batteries and 3. Camera, for cost reasons Samsung installs mid-range cams on foldables while Huawei always offered ultra cams on theirs.

Seriously doubt that this Rollable phone will actually have any future but I will happily be proven wrong. They had propotypes for this for many years and still nothing. The rolling concept in principle will be far more prone to damage since it opens electronically and It never be ipx resistant.

Samsung always has idea but never being able to put it in reality. Just like Huawei tri fold where Samsung shows off but not being able to make them due to technical difficulties in which they have encountered. But this is good for Huawei since you have such concept. Now, , Huawei sees it and they are going to surprise you with their next move. Eat your heart out, Samsung!

Want to see that happening, now Samsung make your move and show it in front off other brand smartphone in Roll Foldable smartphone. Best way introduce this Roll Foldable smartphone is in MWC 2025.

Sounds good but practically it wouldn't be good for daily uses. Like it would be very thick and at the same time not easy to hold if users want to use it as a normal phone. This design has lot of limitations

Jai Hind. Good for consumers if Apple can continue to harvest its branding rental with incremental innovations. But it will definitely be more exciting for consumers to see competitors coming out with real innovative step solutions.

If roll away screens work out in terms of being durable, long lasting and a type of OLED or Mini LED, I'm on board, I won't fork out $ that have creases in them. Will wait on China's iterations before moving on this, I'm not desperate
