From having driven this on the road now.. The extra 22 bhp all the way through the power band makes a HUGE difference. Peak power figures don't tell the whole story.

I’d also suggest running some pump gas through the tank before storage. Also subarus are addicts to meth and ethanol, note the walbro 255 didn’t live long on meth, the aem400 lph external pump is what I’m running now, no issues on either meth or ethanol.
22 hp is pretty good for just fuel honestly.

Dont forget, an E85 compatible fuel pump is a MUST for in-tank mix AND I wouldnt advise leaving a meth mix in the tank of a car that only gets occasional use, it likes to eat stuff :)

Recently had a Snow Performance water/methanol kit installed on a protuned 2016 STI. Only mods are 1050 inj and supporting fuel system upgrades, aftermarket intake, downpipe and catback. Still on the stock turbo. I'm in the desert southwest where heat and elevation are a major problem. I went with this kit to help during the hotter months where high inlet temperatures rob a significant amount of power. Time will tell in a few months.

15L for a tank a gas is pretty crazy! 20L lasts me a whole year with a 50:50 mix with an AEM kit since its only spraying when I'm making significant boost.

Loving your content, keep up the good work, it's giving me some encouragement to get my STB back on the road, what process would it be to map a 1997 Forester STB and rough price please? Only current upgrade is exhaust with De cat, following your other video I'd change the injector's and look at the intercooler, car's got a tdo4 which I assume is standard. Thanks Tom

Would be nice to see what sort of gains a Meth Injection kit would give you comparatively to the 25% mix, but thats an impressive gain just for throwing it into the tank

Doesn't address the possible contamination due to poor quality control - methanol is usually offered for use with vegetable oil in diesels....
Nobody can afford lab. spec. methanol in bulk. This will cost you an engine... IMHO of course !

What's your thoughts on water/meth injection, it sprays same say 4000 or 6000 but boost dependent.

I got an AEM kit i can finish installing, maybe push my VF28 to like 23 psi or so to lower its IATs due to turbo inefficiency and push it out of its efficiency curve

My FOZ STI stutters when I drive it from stone cold but as soon as the temperature gauge moves it’s ok, it’s never bothered me as it’s done it since I bought it well over 2 years ago but is it something a map tweak would sort? It’s running about 360bhp and the previous owner had the car mapped by u 😁

Where did you get the blue plastic funnel to screw into the meth container as I ordered some Jennychem meth and it didnt come with one?

How can you tell if the meth has gone off? There’s no knowing how long it’s been on the shelf before you buy it and then it sits in your shed lol
