Easy way to get the OP Githyanki sword in Act 1 - Baldur's Gate 3

Here's a way to get the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane in act 1 without dying. I had to reload 2-3 times but basically, buff yourself and use Disarming Attack (Ranged). Click the hide button about a split second after the arrow hits. And use fog on the sword so that you can pick it up easily without being seen. #baldursgate3 #bg3

It's crazy that he actually wields the sword he gives you in act 3. You would assume the devs would give him a regular silver sword and just add the legendary one to your inventory out of thin air as the quest reward, but they actually have him give you his own sword.

I was looking for option with full Laezel cutscene and I was able to cheese my way through exactly how I wanted! Sword dropped and Laezel lied to Voss with my char and Shadowheart in cutscene, no blood dropped. For those who are interested, here are instructions:
1. let Laezel leave the party and start talking to Voss
2. put your char under the bridge, stealth as close as possible (I was behind wooden fence)
3. control Shadowheart in stealth to left side of the bridge as in a vid, but not on top of it(!), she must me as close as possible on lower level on the rocks, otherwise cutscene won't trigger and you'll start fight
4. save and get that successful drop command
5. play through cutscene, giths are gonna glitch a lil with fight music starting, but they'll auto-leave and you can grab sword safely after that

All I did is re-spec Le'Zel and made sure to give her the battle master disarm manouver. Stealthed at the bridge overlooking everyone. Saved. And did range disarm a handful of times. Got at least 60% with just having high ground and being stealthed. It took me about 25 minutes reloading ect. Only level 4. Finished out the rest of the fight really easy since the Githyanki enemies have to try to get to high ground with us but when they do i just shove them back to the ground below.

You can increase the chance for disarming strike by doing this in melee with a giant elixir.

If you’re playing honor mode and want the highest chance then wait to do this until level 6. This opens up cloud giant fingers from Derryth and you can buy 3 of those to craft cloud giant potions for 27 strength.

As soon as Voss is hit, he and the dragon disappear and the rest go into combat mode. It took several trial and error to pull it off. I used the hireling fighter, Varanna. I had her own to carrying just her bow because I didn't know how Wither's resurrection worked (I tried with Shadowheart and sometimes it said "target is blocked" when the body literally was out in the open and every time I rezzed her with Shadowheart, they instantly killed her again as well as SH. So I had my group wait on the opposite side of the bridge and sent Varanna solo. Once it worked to wear the weapon was dropped, on her turn in combat I had her use a misty step scroll, pop down to the sword, pick it up and send it to camp. After she died, I sent the others back to camp and had Withers rez her. The sword was waiting in the main Traveler's Chest.

I've done the same thing, but I coat my weapon with Oil of Accuracy and have Lazael drink a Potion of Colossus to bring the percent to hit up to 95%.

How did you get near there without laezel immediately running down there to talk to him? I never bring her because of this.

incorrect, still works as of today. sworddropped with ranged disarm from on top of the bridge

dying or not dying make no difference as long as you get the sword, you can just revive in camp

I would not recommend getting this sword unless you've beaten the game at least once with Lae'zel.

It ruins her story completely getting it this early.

mercenary warrior + your idea + distance drop weapn + right distance from Voss + LUCKY + long jump + grab dropped SWORD^^ + ress mercenary from accampament. THK your is more simply idea for to grab this sword!

lazel has a cut scene though. how do you stop the cut scene?

I dont know 100% for sure or if anyone has mentioned this but before going through the potential time waste of setting this up. It doesnt work anymore.
Reason why is because if you take Lae`zel gets forced into talking with Voss which also means its impossible to get her on that bridge without Voss flying away.
