HYSTERECTOMY SHOPPING GUIDE - SURGERY PREP. This is a 1 pager to guide anyone going through this process an easy list to follow with some helpful things to consider. Note: These are only suggestions and by no means overrides a medical professionals recommendations. This is solely based on what worked for me and things that came highly recommended from a broad community of survivors / friends in medical field and my doctor.

I know this is not the type of video I normally post, but wanted to share a bit of my hysterectomy story and journey so I could be a source of hope or help for others. On 3/18/2020 I had undergone a full laparoscopic hysterectomy surgery during an unprecedented time.

Must have items I needed to to survive #hysterectomy recovery:
Pain Meds - Ibuprofen and Tramadol (prescriptions)
Tylenol

I had a radical hysterectomy 4 days ago. Went into hospital with my toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush and moisturiser. Also the clothes I stood in. I'm at home back to normal. Been in the bath, took off dressings, no need for painkillers. Laxatives and blood thinning injections given by hospital. Don't make a big production out of it, it's a routine operation and if you're sensible about it you can get back to normal pretty quickly. By the way I'm 62.
