Ever since the botched release of the Kingdom Hearts games on the Switch, I have been desiring to find a TRUE portable Kingdom Hearts experience. Having the entire Kingdom Hearts series wherever you go is such a dream for me. But now, with the release of Valve's Steam Deck, my dream of ACTUAL portable Kingdom Hearts has finally come true...AND IT'S WAY BETTER THAN I THOUGHT!

The steam deck doesn’t have a 1080p screen so putting it to 720p or 800p would be best and will get better frame rate

The Steam Deck's screen is only 800p, so you are basically just wasting resources on 1080p

Good video, but quick correction: The Steam Deck wasn't created to compete with the Switch. In fact, believe it or not, it has very little to do with the Switch at all. The Steam Deck was created as a means for Valve to get out from under the thumb of Windows and create their own platform (using Linux) to sell games. So that way, if Microsoft ever decides to stop playing nice and bans Steam from Windows, which they can do literally whenever they want, Valve's business doesn't just tank. I know that Nintendo popularized handheld gaming devices, and it may be tempting to say that any new handheld was created specifically to compete with them, but that's just not the case here. These devices are great in their own way, and serve completely different markets. Saying the two of them are competing is like saying that the Toyota Camry is built to compete with a Lamborghini because they both have 4 wheels and take you from point A to point B.

So the only way to really take advantage of the Steam Deck's portability with the Epic Store games like Kingdom Hearts is to just have Data from a phone or to do the illegal methods you were referring to

How did you get the steam deck controls working for kh3? I can only make it work with steam input mapped buttons to keyboard binds :( the gamepad setting doesn't work for me

Great video. I do have a question however, does the game require an internet connection to play? I've been considering buying it again through the heroic games launcher but I don't want to buy it again unless it's truly portable.
