this music, in my opinion (as a musician), is one of the greatest pieces of music i've ever heard. it comes on par with "christmas kids" and something like "libet's delay".
the melody, the ups and downs symbolizing happiness and sadness eventually turning to insanity, the chorus at the end, a perfect ending piece.


with the original theme, it's bouncy, it's fun, it's featured at the start of the episode "pilot" and the end is that version but with a spark of glory.
i cannot describe how good this song is, even though it's just for an indie animation series, it takes the potential it has and does a sixteen factorial with it, just, how the HELL could you get it to this point of excellency gooseworks i do not understand.

It gives the sense of hopelessness and insanity pomni must feel.
Knowing theres probably no way to get out, and that shes stuck in a digital hellscape with a bunch of other used-to-be real people.
The horror id feel realizing my past life is gone and that this world was my "new home"... CHILLS DUDE

This is literally the best ringtone. I couldn't stop crying when I woke up.

Gooseworx is genuinely an incredible composer, everything down to the very sound pallets she uses here are just perfect. The while the rest of the orchestra are either real or very real sounding, the strings are so obviously artificial. The way the strings’ sound is designed makes every note feel harsh and aggressive as it pushes the melody forward, making the occasional leap to an octave that just doesnt make sense. All this seemingly happy and bittersweet melody in the orchestra is underscored by the incredibly intense sounding choir that adds this essence of drama and grandiosity. It sums up the ending of the pilot perfectly, nothing is real, you’re stuck here forever, you arent going to like it, but this is your new home.

I'm not going to lie to you. Since I saw Digital Circus, hearing this at the end made me cry a lot, the song is incredible. I have it in my head so much that I can't stop listening to it over and over and over and over again, it has become one of many of my favorite songs. They know what they are doing with songs...this is great.
