As a Spaniard I can tell you there are drive-throughs in Spain. However, you are in a city and most restaurants are walk-in, but in most of the smaller cities or villages fast-food restaurants have drive-throughs.

No country needs a drive thru. There's a reason Spaniards don't use mobility scooters to make it through a shopping trip

I do appreciate when you value the cultural differences, but this time you got 5 wrong out of five.

We do have large shopping carts, and they're not a rare find. Just try any supermarket outside Madrid historical centre.

Drive thru are common on most modern commercial areas. You just will struggle to find them in a historical city centre. We won't bring dow any historical building just to make space for a drive thru.

Having calories per 100ml or 100gr allows to easily compare different drinks regardless of the packaging size. You just need to understand the metric size.

You can get sandwiches almost everywhere, traditionally they're called bacadillos. Even the cheapest looking pub prepares them. You can also get them at Subway, Pans&Co, Rodilla....Just don't expect the same fillings you used to have back in the USA.

Traffic lights don't just go red for pedestrians, but also to regulate the car flow. In thoose cases in which the lights are just for pedestrians you can usually find a switch at the traffic lights post to request a pedestrian green light.

All you videos seem to be recorded inside Madrid M30 motorway. 99% of the country is outside that area. Try it, you'll love it.

1 Those are not shopping carts. They're baskets. Only certain stores have those in major cities where its an urban store.
2 Drive through. Spaniards don't need drive through because its a walking type of place like you said. At retail areas on the outskirts where there are huge stores, you drive to and you can find McDonalds etc with a drive through.
3 Bocadillos. Every bar, which is in every corner offers a huge selection of "sub's". Ham, cheese, squid, chorizo, chicken, black pudding, etc etc. Actually more choices than subway. Also healthy.
4 calories. They have calorie counters. Even by portion and also more specific than US. Its not hard to multiply cal per 21 cal 100ml x 5=105 cal
5 traffic sensors. Many cities have them. Some areas are still to upgrade.

I'd say Spain is more advance than the US in many things.
Things I would export from the US are school bus rules where you have to stop when the stop sign extends from the side of the bus.

I love these shopping carts, we have the same ones in France and what's really practical is that when you go shopping on foot, you can only take what you can carry.

US American has yet to discover the satisfying logic of the metric system

Those shopping baskets are perfect if you only want to buy a small amount of things. For a bigger shop, most if not all supermarkets have bigger trolleys.

Almost every Bar/coffee shop have sandwiches in Spain and the supermarkets usually have small shopping carts and bigger ones.

I'm enjoying the cultural difference youre pointing out, but Fast food places are walk in...because people walk in Europe. Loads of local sandwich shops - subs are a US thing. Nothing wrong with using your brain to figure out how many calories you;re consuming...it actually burns calories to use your brain ;-)

The drive-throughs are usually on the outskirts of the city buddy, specially on the roads or poligon areas with other shops ( for example the one in gavarras, a place here in Tarragona, I have it close so that's why I put it as example) but smaller towns in Barcelona also have it. Specially closw to gas stations

Sandwich places: Rodilla or 100 Montaditos have really good sandwiches
Drive thrus: If you’re in a city the restaurants are usually walk ins but in towns there are drive thrus.
Shopping carts: we do have normal shopping carts but those are only if you don’t want to buy many things.

There are two kinds of shopping carts here, the ones you show on the video are for when you want to buy less things, but we also have big shopping carts in most of the supermarkets. Oh, and you can get a sandwich in any restaurant, just ask for it.

We don't have sandwich shops because you can get the best bocadillos from any pub. The best places have so many options that it's insane, several kinds of seafoods, different fishes, several kinds of sausages, different hams, any kind of omelette, different vegetables, many kinds of cheeses, alioli....
