Bill Self discusses KU’s loss to Mizzou

Earlier on, Kansas and Duke seemed to both be figuring themselves out, and Duke seemed to be a little bit hesitant in some of their play.
Mizzou was focused and aggressive, and they’re doing well complimenting one another at both ends of the court. They are terrific at using their athleticism, quickness, length, and strength to drive and usually finish well.

Kansas is on a pretty good route. It’s taking all of these transfers a minute or two to internalize how Coach is wanting them to approach each situation and play with decisiveness.

We have to be careful with Kansas and UCONN!! I still believe in both teams. I think writing them off is a mistake by the media & fans!

To my eyes, Coit is earning all of his play time. Zach was important for Kansas the last two games. I think he could have a bigger role next year.

IT’S EARLY. Bill Self schedules the most difficult pre-season schedule for the conference and post-season. Other teams have issues and they will be exposed. NCAA is not a sprint. Everyone needs to take a deep breath. They will figure it out. Rock Chalk

Hey fellow KU folks, Unfortunately KSU and KU are currently struggling and it’s kinda upsetting. It seems like Coach Self doesn’t look like his former self this year (no pun intended!). Maybe it’s time for him for a new hairdo and change into a new toupee? Maybe it will bring him better luck?! Also, It’s a well known universal belief, and so no harm in him giving it a try! 🤔🧐

This is a real good team, guys. We’ll almost certainly get in another guy who’s been out with an injury. His presence could be important in giving Juan a little more rest, from game to game.

AJ had a couple good on-ball defensive possessions this game, whether or not the guy scored the tough shot. I’d like to see him play with that defensive want-to every defensive second.

Storr is LOST and is struggling. BIdunga is a true freshmen big man. I do think Zach needs more PT at this point. He should know Self’s system and needs to play more over Bidunga.

The newcomers have some uncertainty on offense, and hesitation as a result. I thought at least on defense, guys seemed to know more what spots to be at and when. I wonder if KJ could come off his interior help a half a count earlier.
