Unfortunately that wasn’t the Autobahn. The Autobahn has blue road signs, not yellow road signs. An Autobahn would usually also be a little wider. But it’s almost similar to an Autobahn, just isn’t one. :)
It was a Bundesstraße, a federal road. It’s called federal road cause the ministry of the federal government has to maintain the road maintenance. Other roads are district roads or state roads, maintained by the state you’re in.
Two lane federal roads are rare but they exist. Usually they were there before plans for an autobahn existed and the government body just say eh don’t care we‘ll leave it as a federal road (lower maintenance cost probably) or it should replace a failed autobahn planning project because the two lanes in each direction were only needed for a short distance where an autobahn wouldn’t have been feasible to be built
