Hello my name is curly genius and today we’re gonna briefly talk about new features on youtube with the 2022 update.
So the first feature was obviously adding that stunning confetti animation for the like button.
YouTube needs to keep up with its competitors like tiktok and instagram which already uses animations for interactions.
The second feature added was using images for polls. Facebook already used those and youtube just added that feature.
Basically anyone with over 500 subscribers can access their community tab and now you can post polls with images like this.
Youtube is a big corporation.
Any small change in their app afffect millions of people worldwide.
So before they can add any feature into their app, they need months of research.
Without research, it can go horribly wrong like what happened with the dislike button or the resolution tab becoming a mess.
But luckily and thankfully, so far, all the features added in 2022 are A O K.
Furthermore, Another feature can be found if you go to the analytics tab, their is a new section called research tab where you can find trending tags, search terms and keywords for your videos.
You can briefly see what your viewers like, what they watch, and what video ideas and titles they are going to click and enjoy.
Publishing Content in 2022 is gonna be so easy now because of this. With the right plan in mind, you can become viral in an instant.
The last feature is an odd one.
Now you the “viewer” can see something that was only available to us creators.
That is the timeline feature.
You can see exactly which part of the video is popular and replayed and what is the total retention of the video.
We creators could already see that through the audience retention tab.
Now you can see it too.
