A day for relief rather than celebration after Romain Grosjean's gut-wrenching crash. The 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix put F1 drivers, teams and fans through every emotion.
We really need to praise FIA and F1 for the relentless improve of safety. Thank you.

Confirmed by Haas Romain has not fractured anything or broken anything just burned his hands. Thankfully he is alive

An excellent comment to summarize from another video: "3 kids still have their father tonight because of the Halo that Jules gave his life for."
hukuando
"They introduced the Halo following my son’s accident and the Halo saved Romain’s life today. This is great. I’m glad that he’s okay."

Starts with fire. Ends with fire. Scary.
GargoyleDX
Grosjean did not lose consciousness during the impact. This made all the difference.

A moment of appreciation for the brave guys who were there within seconds fighting the blinding fire and helping Romain to safety.

This video doesn't capture the sheer horror in the 5 minutes after the crash, when nobody knew anything about Grosjean. Waiting for the first pictures of him outside the car was just horrific.

The way he jumped out of the car through the flames after that massive crash... this man is amazing, wishing him a speedy recovery

if this was even 5-10 years ago, that is a fatal crash. praise the improvements to safety that are made every year

Hamilton may have won the race, but Romain is the real winner today. The halo really did save his life!

Don't really care who won today, I'm just happy that Grosjean is ok.

Crazy how Romain just phased through the wall unharmed. Either F1 is all CGI or these cars are that safe. Amazing. Glad he's okay.

0:25. I remember seeing this with my family. We all gasped in shock. We were nearly silent. I was on the verge of tears. I thought us, the formula 1 fans, had lost one of our beloved drivers. I was relieved to see Romain talking in the medical car after them not showing any replays of the crash for minutes. The fact that he could've had died there if the halo wasn't there is scary. He's retiring from F1 after this year, going back to his wife and 3 kids. If he died 3 races before he was supposed to be back, that wouldn't be the easiest thing for his wife to say to their children.

*Romain Grosjean* dodged death, that's more than winning a race.

Imagine being flipped over with your car and not having the worst accident of the day

I'm so glad he was still conscious after that crash

Grosjean was so hated that he had to almost die for everyone to love him.
