Honestly good on you for putting down Onyx Storm for now, I wish I had been less stubborn and just waited for the graphic audio lol. YAY for the first 5-star though, Abercrombie never disappoints! 🤩

Messing up the title with Iron Storm might be the best way to introduce those books. I've heard some people who love it and others share your feelings. Maybe by the last book I'll catch up. 😆

hi!!! i'm glad you are like the plated prisoner series so much! i also bingeread the first 4 books in one go :D just so you know, book 4 ends on a huge cliffhanger and i was sad book 5 wasn't out yet when i read it initially. But i read book 5 and 6 in january and i'm glad i finished it! it will always have a happy place in my heart :) i also read book 2 of expanse which i adored! and i bingeread the dragonshifter's mate by eva chase, it was meh, i like why choose when it is well-written, this series started off strong but it declined by the end for me, i would recommend it if you are sick and just want something uncomplicated :)

I'm glad you like Best Served Cold so much in the end! It's probably my least favorite of the three stand-alones, but only because the overall quality was so high 😂

I started Best Served Cold on audio in late December I think, but I put it down to wait for my physical copy to come in because the audio wasn't working for me UGH!!! I struggle to remain focused with fantasy audiobooks a lot of the time for some reason.

I'm going to pick it back up probably next week!

Given Sanderson's religious views and previous statements, I also doubt that R&R were initially endgame. I can't help but wonder what the original plan was. I'm glad he's changed his views but I'm not sure that necessarily makes it good representation.
Renarin was one of my fav characters so I was disappointed that he didn't play a bigger part in events. Sure, they save Mishram but, within W&T at least, what did that even achieve? How useful was his magical ability really???
