I don't understand why their children would leave all that stuff there! Pictures, clothes- everything. Why?

With all the homeless people in the world, it's even more heartbreaking to see the number of abandoned homes sitting empty.

A TV on top of the old TV. A classic decor choice from my childhood.

I just experienced this with my husband's family. If wasn't diamonds or cash, nobody wanted anything. It broke my heart, it just seemed as if her life meant nothing. She was such an amazing woman. ❤

The fact that NO family has come to collect any items, tells me it wasn’t all peaches and cream in the household.

As an African American living in Ga and into ancestry, I know how hard it is for African Americans to find information on their roots. I really want the grandchildren of Mr and Mrs Smith to come back to this home and restore it to its former glory.

I can't believe that the children did not even take the pictures .🥺.... It's so sad that we spend our lives accumulating stuff and yet we can't take one thing with us when the time comes.

Heartbreaking to see all of the photos of loved ones that this couple raised and loved. I didn't have this kind of life, but if I did, no way I would leave those photo memories behind.

It's a big job. We moved into my boyfriend's parents house that was chock full of their stuff. It's taken 8 years to respectfully deal with everything. We have our own lifetime of stuff too. Its alot of work, alot of memories, alot of tough choices.

Why didn't the children come back to this treasure cove of their items?

Most of that interior is from the ‘70’s.

You can see there was lots of love and care in this home. Lots of memorabilia there. Too bad the children did not care about their legacy! It is so much their loss.

I think most of the furishings were from the late 1950s to the 1960s. The owners Probably were living there during the 1990s...

We had an abandoned factory that was huge, like 20 buildings and acers of land, there where a lot of offices that looked that people just got up and left one day whitout getting their stuff, it was abandoned in 1990s(most of it) and a small part in 2000 something but we found letters from a couple that where written in 1976 there where tvs computers so much stuff a time capsule, but the place got popular and destroyed now there are armed guards and it in the process of being demolished for a building comples, spent like a full year going there almost every day and we still to this day didn't explore it all a part of my childhood truly

Also i got such a comforting feeling remembering that factory, and also i still do urbex prolly bc of that factory but it ain't the same like those days and that place

I remember finding an abandoned home and exploring it . They literally up and left . Dishes still in the sink and on the tables, old news papers from the first moon landing and old playboy magazines lol clothing left behind and old old pictures everywhere of the family . Kids toys and clothing and books . From what I was able to gather from seeing their opened mail they had tiny homes on the property where they had people living and they were getting warnings about doing it from the government . Those homes were left abandoned with cups and plates still on the tables to and clothing etc . A kids Boy Scout metal left hanging on the wall . Coolest thing ever .
