I want to say these barely off the road rescues look fake. But then it occurs to me, I jumped an 8 inch curb near lake Tahoe this summer, rested the rear shock tower of an RV on that curb, dug out two trenches without moving, gave up and called for a tow. And I only had 1/3 of the vehicle off the road. It was right next to a cliff though so any little mistake could have sent the RV (motorhome) rolling.
