In this video we talk about 10 of inconvenient truths about Climate Change and Green Energy.
Climate Change and Green Energy are inescapable topics today and in the future, there are, however, limits and constraints to human action.

Mining, fossil fuel dependency, plastic use in electric vehicles are just some of them. In order to create a sustainable future, we need to remember all of these inconvenient truths as they show us, there are limitations to green tech and the reach of human action. In order to deal with climate change, tough choices need to be made and climate goals need to be set realistically.

Hello,
After reading some of the comments, we thought we’d leave a few thoughts and the links of the studies mentioned in the video:

1. Our next video will be about the flip side of this issue, which will probably be more to the liking of some viewers. We’re interested in considering the different sides of the issues explored in our videos, hence the name of this channel.

2. It goes without saying that just because there are negative aspects to something, it doesn’t mean we should abandon certain ideas or technologies. For example, just because there are problems in wind power, doesn’t mean we should scrap the whole thing altogether. Only more technological development will allow us to continue moving forward. There’s already a lot being done, studied and developed and it’s only logical that things will continue to improve. It is, however, also important to remember that there are tradeoffs involved. It is not only about money or political will. The world is more complex than that and technology, for instance, doesn’t evolve at the speed we’d like it to.

3. We welcome feedback in our videos, not just this one. We’re interested in knowing if there’s anything missing or mistaken that we can improve in the future, so long as it is done in a respectful and constructive way.

4. We expect (and hope) that in the future (sooner rather than later), a lot of what was explored in this video will become a thing of the past, making the video outdated. When blade recycling problems are a thing of the past or when African countries develop, they benefit from their mineral wealth and the people working in the mines will only be adults with better wages and working conditions. By then, we’ll be happy to discontinue this video and if need be, we’ll create a new one, updated with the challenges we still need to tackle.

The climate change religionists lost me years ago with the hockey stick graph. Paid for scientists and hangers on on the gravy train are taking money that could be used to help poor people, addicted people, trafficked people etc etc

That's water vapor coming from those stacks, nothing to fear

This doesnt work. Noone has the guts to admit failure, because they are still making money from it.

you left out a lot of conditions and issues! CO2 is not a "green house gas" but the "gas of life", playes a key role in fotosynthesis to grow plants, feed animals and people as well as produce our O2!
Nuclear energy also may change the entire equasions etc.

Thank you for this video. Finally a concise review of all of the factors involved in the Climate Change discussion. It turns out that the man made CO2 impact on Climate Change represents only about 0, 02 % of all the factors, most of which, of course, are natural causes. Therefore, the expenditures wasted in attempting to stop Carbon "pollution" are stupid and should be stopped.

There are quite a few things missed in this summary. 1. The fact that the IPCC admits that they can’t forecast the climate. Even the IPCC has stated that accurately predicting climate is impossible-
“The climate system is a coupled non-linear chaotic system, and therefore the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible."

Mind you, that statement was well hidden - on p 771 of the TAR.

2. The fact that many scientists claim that 100% of global warming is man made. Sorry but the math doesn’t work, as This is essentially saying that past natural climate change has abruptly stopped. Really? Have the Milancovich cycles stopped? This is just another example of a false narrative promoted by climate doomers.

Some figures: Rising sharply are wind and solar power, at 7.3% and 4.5% respectively. They have to be kidding! They are both intermittent, and unreliable, and both require vast amounts of rare metals (also for batteries). Coal, gas, and oil don't require batteries! The current contribution is minimal.
Greenhouse gases are a red herring! What is the greatest Greenhouse gas? Water vapour. Totally uncontrollable.

Regarding the "Global Solar Potential" chart: If you want 2, 500kWh per square meter (m2) per year then you need 6.85kWh/m2 per day. Solar panels have efficiency about 20% and ideally produce around 200W or 0.2kW per square meter. So ideal sunny day should last more then 34 hours. This math is insanely wrong. Maybe they calculated just the sun's power of 1kW/m2, but that doesn't make sense, because you can't use it.
I live exactly on the upper line of the chart, in Slovenia. I produced roughly 7, 000kWh with my 8.5kW setup. I have 22 panels 1.77m x 1.05m, together 40.9m2, so my production was around 171kWh/m2/year, roughly 14.6 times less.

it isn't really even renewable energy, that's a misnomer to sucker people into their grift.
it should be called energy harvesting, tools for harvesting need energy to be built and maintained. when those tools break down they need to be replaced.
the greenest technologies are the ones that are easy to produce and maintain to mitigate the use of resources.
another approach that i think would be more meaningful would be to build better quality products that are easy to repair but a lot of people seem to like shiny new things and when they break you just throw it away and get another one
if you like you can grade me on the use of run on sentences 😆

Number 4: Studies have shown the impact of Wind Turbines on birds etc to be, nothing of concern .
I'm sure Millions of dead birds and bats would disagree with that statement

Plastic use in cars has increased massively regardless of the powertrain, going back decades. This is not a relevant argument for or against electric cars.

almost every land mass on the map: yeah we got a bit of wind in places you know
England: its a bit windy
Ireland: what he say there?
Scotland: HE SAID ITS A BIT WINDY LAD
Wales: LLWCANDDFWOIDLLCVWN*Flem* CLWLCAWDIUNHEFSDIDS
England: I told you it was windy, that poor mans just been thrown through the air and hit his head so hard hes speaking utter bollocks

No future if only renovable are implemented like Australia or Germany with power bill unaffordable big business is moving overseas, that reality of green energy

Sun expansion towards earth is coming soon and will go SUPERNOVA. It is at present expanding in size and may the cause of temperature change. Developing energy that our body absorb to survive is one way to avoid global warming. Need more research how plant survive by photosynthesis.

Nobody is denying, undeniable climate change. What is being questioned is that we need to be very careful what we decide to do to curb the acceleration! There does not appear to be an easy win/win policy. If we get it wrong then we are adding to the problem, which could be disastrous and we may not realise this until the end of this century and have had time to evaluate the changes!
