Windows 10 - Run Old NOCD SafeDisc & SECUROM Protected Games

Many people still have legally purchased games with CDs and DVDs that used to to run on Windows 7 but do not work on Windows 10.

Various SafeDisc and Sucurom copy protection systems were used on them - including games by Microsoft too!

This video show you how to run those games by using the genuine Windows driver (from Windows 7) in Windows 10 and using the Driver Signature protection system that should allow you to start and play the games.

Please be advised that you should pay serious attention to the security warnings in the video.

What about Windows 8.1? My game was a digital only file and the paul.dll is what won't let me go beyond the activation window. I don't have my code anymore and the company no longer supports the game.

Unfortunately, didn't work for me. Win 10 x64, Civ 4 CD. I don't have the Win 7 copy and have no time/will to download the full .iso, so i just downloaded the secdrv.sys file and put it to /system32/drivers.
upd: didn't work with the file included in cd as well
upd2: so this is the case: i found an instruction how to run such games on win 7, you just need to run command 'sc start secdrv' as administrator. I put the file to the system32/drivers directory and restarted the pc with the mode you've shown. Tried to run the command, but it said "the start of the driver was blocked". Maybe there is another mode to run the pc so it would allow me to start the driver?

Just did this about an hour ago and thank you! BUT WEIGHT, how can I revert back? Does the system keep the WIN7 SECDRV version in WIN10? I couldn't find the original which I should've backed up. Let me know please!

There’s one game I played called Ford Racing Off Road. I lost the disc and I tried playing the game without the disc, but I got stopped by securom. I don’t know how to get past that error and I never had windows 7 on my computer.

I did create once a virtual machine with win xp, and my NFSU1 still didn't run.
