Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue at Boca Chica Texas

Coast Guard helicopter assists a commercial shrimp boat that ran aground during high wind and seas. Crew members were successfully air lifted to safety with the help of a brave USCG rescue swimmer in 25kt wind and near freezing temperatures

There can never be too much credit given to the Coast Guard personnel. Bravery and skills together, for the swimmer and the pilots. Glad you got this footage - did the local news use it? I'm sure the Coast Guard base will be glad to ave it.

No break water inside the jetties, not a good day to be in the gulf, winds were probably out of the N, NE, props tonthe CG, in those conditions there is no visibility in the water, water gets turned up so bad, and the wind on the heli must of been a challenge as well,

an old family friend was on a sinking fishing boat, turned out the captain couldn't swim so he did that lifeguard swim 5 miles back to shore saving the captain's life. who needs a heli?

I don't understand how the rescue swimmer, or any human being, would be able to propel themselves in these violent waves. Wouldn't he be instantly swept away?
