this song was written about the condition of women (especially in Africa), where the male is dominant. this song calls for a certain revolt on the part of women. The tree represents the male organ, erected ... that we come to destabilize (change traditions, put women at the same level as men).

You got it. The song's a call to women to fight chauvinism. The studio version, a duet with African singer Youssou N'Dour, is great too. Great to see Tony Levin, one of the world's top bass players, in action, too. Another Peter Gabriel song worth reacting to is the live version of "Biko" - a lament for a South African who died during the fight against apartheid. Live versions have so much power, it can be like being hit in the heart by a hammer of love.

This entire concert, they give off such strong feelings of happiness and joy, it literally transfers to the audience and even to those of us watching it on a screen. This is my favourite song in the Secret World concert, I love that Gabriel recognizes the women in his audience should be strong and happy in all that they do. Look at everyone on stage smiling!
