Selling Things Online - How To Send Your Items After Selling (NZ Delivery/Post/Shipping)

I've been selling things online for a number of years now and sold a few hundred items along the way. Whether it's making a little extra money, or liquidating unused items and freeing up space, the art of trading is something I've always really enjoyed.

After doing this for so long, it hadn't occurred to me that people may not know how to send their items after selling them, until a friend had asked me. This is primarily relevant for people in New Zealand but I would imagine the process is similar in other places. Let me know how it works in your country! Is it different, or basically the same?
