I like your take on the prayer Bible. I haven't had mine long really....but I usually use Bible verses that stood out to me when I read my Bible. And you pointed that out. I believe the most in following the Holy Spirit's guidance in everything and I have a sense that's what you're doing. Especially when you said you felt when you read a prayer out of your other Bible and felt it limited you more. To me that lines up more with following the Holy Spirit's guidance. I wouldn't do a prayer Bible otherwise. I don't even write any prayers out that I would read over and over. In my regular Bible I may write praises and thank you's to God but I don't read those for prayers. I don't believe in reading other people's prayers as my own prayers. I believe this is all part of my relationship with the Lord and He is glad to hear our own words, our own hearts, from each one of us individually. But praying the Word of God is so vital in our living our life for the Lord.
I'm going to share a brief writing of Andrew Murray, a man who walked with the Lord in the 1800's.

Prayer and the Word of God are inseparable and should always go together in the quiet time of the inner chamber. In His Word, God speaks to me; in prayer, I speak to God. If I simply pray without using God's Word, I am apt to use my own words and thoughts. To really give prayer its power, I must take God's thoughts from His Word and present them before Him. Then I am enabled to pray according to God's Word ( & God's will). How indispensable God's Word is for all true prayer!

That's just a portion. If anyone wants to learn more about God and prayer, look for Andrew Murray's books. He points to God and gives foundations but never any cookie cutter teachings.

I love how you wrote your prayers in the other bible and can look back 🙏🏼 and see the season you were in n see responses where you can also write a praise report. The prayer Bible is awesome love how neat and clean it looks. I started putting mine together also I added 3 D stickers near certain scriptures that work as affirmation for me to remind me of what God says n who God says I am ❤ great job tyfs
