UI Policy: UI Policies are evaluated next.
Data Policy: Data Policies (which enforce data validation rules) are applied after UI Policies.
Cascading: UI Policies can cascade, meaning that one UI Policy can trigger another. For example, if a UI Policy hides a field, and another UI Policy is set to trigger based on the visibility of that field, the second policy will execute when the first one hides the field.

Scoped: UI Policies can be defined at a global level or within a specific application scope, allowing for granular control over their behavior.

Here's a simple example of a UI Policy:

Condition: If the "Category" field is set to "Hardware" and the "Priority" field is empty.
Action: Show the "Priority" field and make it mandatory.
This UI Policy ensures that when a user selects "Hardware" as the category of an incident, they must specify a priority, and it dynamically shows the "Priority" field if it was previously hidden.

UI Policies are a powerful tool for configuring and customizing the behavior of ServiceNow forms without the need for extensive scripting or development work. They enhance the user experience by simplifying data entry and ensuring data quality.
