I just got the gold curse yesterday and I was looking for new videos from you today and stumbled across this! That’s awesome I got it around the same time as you!

I got that at the time when talltale checkpoints didn't exist and me and my friend used guides only for Stars of a Thief
Also, i think that doing the gold curse grind bit by bit instead of doing everything all at once makes the experience of getting it better

It's funny, because as much as I hear every content creator complain about SoT, I would not have come back to SoT and actually started playing it properly if the Monkey Island TTs hadn't been implemented--to me, seeing one of my favourite early games converted fairly well into the SoT format was a massive wave of nostalgia, and the fact that they even got so many of the cast back was incredible.

I get that the majority of SoT players--and content creators, it seems--are younger, or likely grew up playing stuff like CoD more than point and click adventure games like Sam & Max--brain puzzling and comedy stuff--but don't knock it. It did draw people in that otherwise wouldn't have cared, and when they finally get around to making the game relevant to the *usual* players, it means you'll hopefully have a lot more players overall than before those updates. (And even then, people here all still seem to be invested anyway.) Granted this goes for the PotC collab too, even if I didn't have an interest in *that, * myself.

Cliff! I recently just started my grind for the gold curse, and I can already tell it's not gonna be worth the effort. But I'll be damned if that doesn't stop me from getting it. Keep up the good videos and steams!

Also the when the skeleton ship ran into the rock and cliff was like "Thank god they didnt hit me" 2 seconds before he ran into the rock was rlly funny. Like I was legit slamming my desk.

Worth or not, I'm still going for it. Got all the commendations for the first four parts of the tall tale done. Working on Wild Rose currently.

Watching a cliff stream is so different to a normal cliff video cuz you get to see more of how he actually plays and speaks. Bro got tricked by chat to go to the wrong island 😂.

I played SS, SoT and gotta say it definitely feels like they made more PvE spawns like the Skeleships and Ocean Crawlers.

I remember helping a buddy of mine do this it was super boring and all i got out of it was the final checkpoint for the shores of gold while he has the curse dont regret it though glad i could help them out sadly we did it before safer seas

Hi so with sea of thieves finally coming to ps5 and I can play it should do the tall tails on safer seas or should I do them on just the normal mode?
