How creative! I love the fact that you can cut the stump, burn it, print it and then hang it. Talk about smiling every time you see it! What a great idea!

I love it! there's oil based ink for relief printmaking. aside from longer working time, you can also print on wet paper. prints on textured cotton papers look great but you may want to wet them in order to get all the details. put wet cotton paper between dry towels and ringing it out using a rolling pin. you may even get some light impressions!

I love how these turned out! I have a graphic design background and printmaking was one of my favorite classes in school. I’d never seen this method and it looks like a lot of fun! These would make great postcards for The Wood Shed!

Makes a nice print, could adhere it to a thin piece of ply or mdf and make some clocks out of them, or some weather stations etc etc, no limits to the use of the prints...beautiful work April. Cheers from Aus!!!!

Many, many years ago (before you were born) I was out in California after then lost a Redwood that wasn't all that wide but bigger than a man is tall. We were allowed to cut back several areas and did nearly the exact process. Getting much larger transitions between the bark and inside we created a lot of really impressive prints. You brought back a lot of great memories!

Hey, it's getting cold outside now .... how about building some not too expensive Cat Houses for our furry friends ... I'd love to see your idea's on that one!

I love the dark red one at the end! Can’t wait to try this. I have a bunch of cedar cookies that I sell that would be perfect for trying this. So, this is now added to my to-do list! Thank you!
