The Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality on Monday cited dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo in contempt for allegedly continuing to lie before the senators.
because of the repeat citations given not only to Alice Guo but to her sisters as well, it doesn't strike fear anymore. It sounds more like a joke now.

I commend the zeal of the Senate Committees, which, in aid of legislation, are questioning Guo Hua Ping on various issues. However, I think the Senate must turn her over to the proper forum (i.e., the Court) since their resource person is evading questions that may implicate her in legal trouble. The government is incurring unnecessary costs in continuing this Senate zarzuela and housing Guo Hua Ping for contempt. Let the court do its job. Anyway, she will be compelled to share her story through litigation and affidavits. You may request transcripts to help you draft laws. To our Senators, fulfill your mandate, but do not act as persecutors or crime investigators. It's now appearing that most of you are just grandstanding. Sen. Hontiveros you admitted that you are being lied to many times, would any of her answers, if ever she will answer, still bears credibility?
