I meant to mention this in the video and I totally forgot but this mod doesn't removed the build in audio. The audio is piped in through the arms on the side of the Quest not the strap itself so you still get perfect audio without headphones with this mod.

mine arrived today & it was easy to take the original strap off & insert the new one. took me only 15mins from start to finish & it feels very comfy. no need to add the extra overhead strapping, as the main strap is supportive enough. perfectly aligns with everything & clarity of image inside the quest has actually improved a little. i highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't like the pressure on the cheeks & if u wear glasses, get the lens from VR lens & you've got the perfect headset. thanks for making this video & encouraging us to upgrade to this awesome mod.

Based on your video - it looks like there isn't a strap going across the top of your head. For some reason the Amazon link and the Beswin page show a strap across the top of the head... Is that removable? What's the deal with that? I like the way it's shown in your video.

I have that strap. When I first put it on, I was like, "Oh yeah! This feels great!" It really does take all of the weight off of your face. But that feeling only lasts about the first 10 minutes, then it gets really uncomfortable. It seems to move all of the weight to the back of your head instead of spreading it out evenly. Eventually it makes the muscles in my head get really tense. It also makes my whole head feel heavier in general and my neck starts to strain after a while. It might just be that I haven't figured out how to position it perfectly yet, but it's been a few weeks and I still haven't figured it out. It might be hard for me to dial in because it feels so good when I first put it on, but by time my head and neck start to hurt, there is no amount of adjusting I can do to get comfortable again.
I'm going to keep trying it out because I know it should be better than the stock strap and my VR sessions usually aren't that long anyway, but if I have to give up I don't know what I'll do. I don't want to go back to the stock strap because now I realize just how uncomfortable that is on my face. Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and go with the HTC Vive deluxe audio strap. Really, what's another $100 after everything I've sunk into VR thus far.

Crazy! It’s like you heard my calls, I was hunting for a vid to do with a new comfortable head strap mod. I just ordered the new VR cover V2 and I think I’ll be getting this to go with it.

The go quest halo is the same as this but cheaper quality product great review, you missed out on talking about using it without the facial interface, you can increase your field of view a lot and keep the front from even touching your face

This feels incredibly similar to the design of the Windows MR headsets

Which definitely isn't a bad things as I find those quite comfortable

I'm happy to see Halo Straps becoming a more popular comfort mod. I personally use an HTC Vive Deluxe Audio Strap (DAS), but feel conflicted recommending such an expensive comfort mod to new Quest owners. $95 for the DAS, $15+ for the adapters, and $25 for the VR Cover DAS pad, is a lot more expensive than the most highest priced Halo Strap mod, and doesn't necessarily offer any more comfort.
