Thanks for wonderful advice. Thanks to you, and me of course, my 6 y/o son now rides the Norco Fluid 2.3. His is the 2021 model and the price increased a bit since this video was made. I think it’s because in 2020 the rear break was mechanical but now both breaks are hydraulic.

You can also get internally geared mountain bikes in any wheel size, there are also suspension forks being made for wheels as small as 16”

Great review, I feel quality of bike matters to keep riding enjoyable. I learned this when I pony up the cash to buy a nice bike. The Walmart junk just won't cut it and actually deters others who wide with me who use them. Can't tell you how many times I let a freind ride my high end bike and seen them smile. My neighbor came home with a Cannondale hardtail the very next day.

I got my little one the GT stomper too. He loves it and the only problem was the brake pads rubbing the tire, you have to get it exactly right. Other than that he’s a terror on the trails 👍🏻

Kids bikes with disk brakes - absolute revelation for my 5 year old. For the past couple of years we have been trying to get something my daughter can use confidently, trying softer stickier v-brake pads, adjusting Lever positions and spring return rate to no avail. Literally 2 minutes on some cheap used Magura MT2 brakes and the comment was "Dad these are so easy to use i don't need to pull with all my fingers" . The most expensive bit of converting from V-Brake to disk has been wheels, i ended up custom building some as i have the kit to do so but they were not cheap.
Here is to hoping the trickle down of decent disk hubs and brakes continues with kids bikes - they have the most to gain from them.

Norco looks awesome. Thinking of buying a 16-inch Prevelo Zulu 2 for my 4-year-old. It is tough forking out $500 for a toddler’s bike only to grow out of it in two years.

I always grew up not having tech, however on my 10th bday I got an Xbox. After about a month I was already back on bike and only really use my Xbox on rainy days

You should do an update to this video. Meaning as for me I like to get out on the trails with my son but unfortunately I was only able to get them a Walmart bike with that being said I would like to do some upgrades to his bike like fork and etc. but it makes it very difficult to find parts for kids bikes and there isn’t much YouTube videos on doing upgrades to kids bikes as well.
