I just now noticed the elevator music has the same progression as the beginning of the chorus 🤯. Only took me having this song on repeat for the last three weeks to notice it.

This song reminds me of when I was growing up in Roanoke, Virginia. All that mattered to me was my interest in music and my guitar. I would spend hours in our basement practicing my guitar, in the hopes one day I could play the songs of my favorite bands. My father didn't approve of the type of music I was interested in, but that didn't deter me from practicing day in and day out and mastering the the songs from the bands I loved. In those days, we didn't have the internet so I had to learn by ear. That skill was particularly useful when I could hear my father come down the stairs with his belt to whip me.
