Here's my latest video of a classic Italian chocolate & almond based dessert: Torta Caprese! #lovebaking

Ingredients:

5 eggs
200 g sugar
300 g almond flour
250 g butter
250 g dark chocolate
1 pinch of salt

Recipe:

1. Take 250 g of dark chocolate, melt it in a double boiler and set aside.

2. In a bowl mix 250 g of room temperature butter with 200 g of sugar. Break and separate 5 eggs and add the egg yolks to the mixture.

3. Slowly combine the almond flour (300 g) with the wet ingredients. Then start to incorporate the melted chocolate as well. In the meantime preheat the oven to 180 °C.

4. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Then carefully fold in the egg whites into the batter.

5. Prepare a 24 cm round baking pan with parchment paper on the bottom and a thin layer of non-stick cooking spray on the side. Pour the dough into it and flatten it with a spatula.

6. Bake in a static oven for 1 hour. Before serving, let it cool down and decorate it with some powdered sugar on top.
