Dan Carlin's hardcore history saved me many boring nights working graveyard shifts

I think it was 15 years since I had last cried, and his telling of the Somme and the humanity of that horrific experience had me crying while on my run, listening to my podcast.

Also, learning history can help us make positive history. :)

I was listening to Glimpses of Olympias this morning. listened to the slave trade episode yesterday. could listen to these on repeat.
I love Dan Carlin. his voice gets me every time and the intro to the episodes hits the core directly. I love the A Nightmare in Indianapolis episode 🖤destroyer of worlds.
they are all pieces of art. historian or not, he has a way of bringing the pieces together.

I listened to this yesterday and the whole time I was thinking George Carlin and was so confused until now.

We're doomed to repeat history because making world events calculable is a priori to the masters of the universe
