I bought these last season (early 2022) in my first season skiing as a beginning intermediate. They have been great! Now I’m an advanced intermediate skier in my second season, and getting better at carving all the time. Thanks for the video!

I agree. And it's always nice, when you get to see tail as well as tip rocker. I'll add my 2 cents for the telemark skiers out there.
I'm 5'9" tall and about 160 pounds on Meidjo 2.1 bindings and TX Pro boots (this will mean something for the knee droppers) and ski in northern Utah.
I have a bit of a quiver and on a whim decided to add a 160cm pair of these. Getting a pure carve on tele gear is a real challenge for me, so these skis (and the very short length) were to help with that. I also like to ski switch, and the tail rocker is enough to do that comfortably without worry. They carve beautifully in this application (I tuned them to 1 degree base and 3 degrees side, which may or may not be the stock tune) and make a pure carve in a tele stance very easy to perfect while making it easy to control speed without skidding because of the ridiculously tight 11.5m radius. I wasn't sure how they'd work in the bumps because I was a bit afraid the wasp-waist would result in the tails hanging up, but these are now my go-to bump ski on hard snow days in the Wasatch. I figured they'd be terrible in 4-6" of powder over hard but they're fun. The only thing is that they respond instantly to very small changes in "angle of bank" so to speak, but once you're used to that they're fine even at this short length. In short, for my application, I love this ski. If I were an intermediate telemark skier and this were my only skis, I'd consider this in a 176 for my ht/wt/location.

I own the 2019 version at 170 cm and I am 5'9 180 lbs. Advanced skiiet. PROS: very snappy for short radius turns. It does the work for you. CONS: Wobbles at high speed and chatters like a MOFO on groomed runs at high speed. I would not use in deep snow.

Hi SE, would you recommend this for a advance beginner looking to learn and progress into advance intermediate? I'm hoping to find a ski that won't fight me while as a beginner that I can use to learn and progress with me well into the future so that I don't have to buy another skis once I am a solid skier. Thank you for your time.

Hello SE!
I am a intermediate skier who is trying to learn to carve recently. I have been using very cheap skis this season(my second season) and I have seen this model and 82 Basalt 2022 with the basically same price. Which one would you recommend to buy? Thanks a lot!

I know the video was posted a long time ago but I still try to ask you. I would like to buy a pair of this skis. I'm from New England and mostly ski groomers. I'm 5'7 and 148lbs, pretty much beginner-intermediate skier who is looking to buy the first pair of skis. I'm not sure what length of ski should I get 152 or 160? My last rented skis were 152 and they were very maneuverable and I liked it. What would you recommend? Thank you
