Basic daily upkeep is about an hour. Wash about 15 minutes to half hour. You’re not scrubbing clothes by hand or managing the machine. Cooking around an hour, cleaning up around a half hour. That’s about 4 hours for house stuff a day while being able to watch tv and another 4 of whatever you want before the man’s workday is over. Anyone that lumps the children into the labor category is probably a selfish person. I would also note that I recall someone mentioning that 70% of discretionary spending is by women.

Factors change when both are working and I have no problem with a division of labor tailored to the couple. I suspect this lady doesn’t actually do any work apart from absolutely necessary and spends a good amount of time clubbing and stuff. Hedonists.

"This is everything you wanted" is an internal contradiction they cant (or wont) reconcile (which is why arguing or debating them is pretty pointless).

What they want is the easy life of a pampered trad wife, while presenting the outward appearance of being a high power girl boss, so they can justify wanting selfish things from others without feeling guilty about it... This conflict leads to frustration, and instead of working on themselves to reconcile it, they tend to just take those frustrations out on whomever theyre dating (or at least, that's been my experience) by ensuring NO man can satisfy their list of mutually exclusive requirements.

This can be seen by feminist support of forced equity in the academics and workplace, including affirmative action (which feminists STILL push for in favor of women, despite 60% of college students being women now), and to either get paid more than men for the same work and same hours due to an imagined wage gap (literally, the wage gap only exists if you zoom out far enough to compare borderline useless humanities degree holding people, predominantly women, to high paying technical degrees, mostly men, with few exceptions (such as biology, biochemistry, medicine, etc), and to include women who choose to drop out of the workforce to become full time mothers, god forbid, while men are still expected to work till retirement, if not beyond), or to require high ranking women in companies in a way that leads to low quality diversity hire managers and CEOs just to fill a representation quota (Kathleen Kennedy and Susan Wojcicki come to mind. I am not saying women CANT be good CEOs, just look at the CEO of Susi Airlines... But CEOs tend to be better when they actually have to earn it), -

Whilst ALSO still having the same awful attitudes that men should earn more than them, be breadwinners and caretakers, not be stay at home dads, and pay for dates... Sorry, if you wanna be handed college admissions, women only scholarships to pay for that college, better pay for your terrible choice in degree than your male counterparts, and be handed promotions over male counterparts not for merit, but for representation quotas, all on a silver platter, then youre probably gonna wind up earning more than 95% of the men out there despite being a mediocre worker. The result is youre gonna have a hard time finding a guy who doesnt make more sense as a stay at home dad, or at least, a guy you financially support more than he financially supports you... If that bothers you, tough, this is the bed you made, now lie in it. You LITERALLY CANNOT have it all.

This is a perfect example of irreconcileable beliefs. It ultimately just boils down to double standards, people like this might as well just admit they want all the benefits of both being a high paid girlboss, and all the pampering of a stay at home mom by a chivalrous honorable breadwinner, with NONE of the responsability of either (like EITHER being the breadwinner for others OR cleaning and cooking at home), all while denying the fact that NOT EVERY WOMAN CAN HAVE ALL THOSE BENEFITS AND NONE OF THOSE RESPONSABILITIES SIMULTANEOUSLY. Even if it were possible to fulfill every benefitting role in a relationship while shirking any responsability role, it's particularly unlikely for you to end up in such a lottery winning position if your actions in creating girl boss culture have actively stripped opprotunity that men once had, away from them in VERY asymmetrical ways like through women only scholarships and excessive affirmative action, which undermine merit based ascension of the financial ladder and put up roadblocks to otherwise hardworking and intelligent men against otherwise mediocre women counterparts. There are VERY few women who could ever make it to girlboss satus, and still find men that make more than them to be the breadwinner... More importantly, the few who can find men like that, find out real quick that the last thing a high power man wants, is a competitor with self contradictory beliefs, the ironic belief that the patriarchy has somehow kept them down in life, and a flawed political ego the size of a planet. Men in those high paid positions are some of the few men on the planet who can truly have almost any woman they want, and the last thing they'd pick is a more toxic less successful version of themselves.

Some "girlboss" types grow TF up and decide to focus on their career, even if it means having to support a guy if they want a relationship, or kids. Good for them. And some women grow up to be tradwives, which... I cant help but think thats a silly term, because... Why do we need a name for what is (or at least WAS) the norm? Anyway, people like that recognize the little appreciated importance of their role in supporting the household. To be successful in either case, I've noticed women tend to temper their old feminist beliefs, because... Well... Those beliefs arent that compatible with reality at the extreme level spread online. It's a good thing, it's a reminder that there are still normal women in this world, women with goals outside of nonstop activism.

The sad thing is, women who move more center like this, recognizing how impractical EITHER extreme is (including extreme left), wind up just being cast out by feminist wolves for not toeing the party line to the letter, and before long, get called pick me's, as if daring to disagree with egregious double standards as a fellow woman must only come from a place of trying to appeal to men.... I empathize.

Feminist also mistakenly only seem to see the benefits that come with leading. Forgetting the strain of responsibility, accountability and being reliable while putting your own wants, needs and sometimes safety to the side.

I’m not even saying that women can’t be good leaders but since it’s in different areas to men it doesn’t mean anything to a lot of people. Women lead in care and nurture dominated areas like nursing, teaching, child care etc. but it’s seen as less important then leading a multi million dollar companies for some reason.

Regarding Japanese: You shouldn't study, but *live* Japanese for 2-3 hours or whatever free time you have at your disposal. Once you have the basics, just read. Doesn't matter if you get only 25% at the beginning, just have as much fun as possible.

That intermediate plateau you describe is normal, once you're at a certain level in any field, you're basically just optimizing.

What I don't really understand is why you say you're close to fluency but are terrible at reading. Have you skipped learning Kanji all the time? lol
