3 Charming Coastal Towns on Florida's Gulf Coast / St George Island

In this excerpt from our Florida Travel Film, We travelled to 3 charming coastal towns on Florida's Gulf Coast. We went up the Forgotten Coast to St. George Island, followed by Apalachicola Florida, Port St Joe and Cape San Blas.

We stopped on the Beautiful St. George Island, Florida. We saw the entire Island from the top of the St. George Lighthouse. We ate dinner at BJs Pizza and followed it up with amazing Ice Cream from Aunt Ebby's. We stayed on St. George Island during the 4th of July, so we got to see a spectacular Fireworks show.

Next we travelled up the forgotten coast to Apalachicola, Florida. This was a cute small town right on the Gulf Coast. Very little is open past 5 o'clock, so come before 5:00. The shops are great. We found some Tupelo Honey and a Sea Turtle Carving. Also, the Seafood is great, if you like that sort of thing. All of the seafood is fresh. We ate at the Station Raw Bar and we were not disappointed.

Our last stop along Florida's Forgotten Coast was Port St. Joe. The. town is still rebuilding from Hurricane Michael in 2018, but it is getting there. Port St. Joe has another small town downtown area. It has some great restaurants and a Beautiful Lighthouse. Port St. Joe is also home to Cape San Blas. Cape San Blas has regularly been voted into the top 10 beaches in the United States, but it also holds another special feature...Weber's Little Donut Shop. These Donuts were soooo good!!!
