After owning 7 Raptors I figured it was time to buy a TRX and see how it stacks up. Spoiler alert its really.... really.... good.

I as well owned Raptors ( 2023 R 2022 37 Package) as well as a 2021 TRX and 2023 TRX...I was a Ford Guy as well and loved the Raptor until I got a TRX and you hit the nail on the head with your reasons a TRX edges out the Raptor.. I have to LOL when you get the haters out there that are such Ford Guys that they think the TRX is junk, Interior is crap quality blh blah blah cause that all right there shows the knowledge and I lol and go past....The Raptor is a magnificent truck but owning both the TRX is a all around dynamic awesome beast...I like most owners keep mine 80% of the time on pavement and the ride quality is better imo, the whine from the Supercharger is superb and the sound with the MBRP or Corsa is amazing!!

I don't understand the poor MPG so many get! I live on the road with my 2021 seeing 73k miles now and 0 issues. I get on the Hwy doing avg 65 to 70 around 14.5 MPG and in the city around home (I'm in the Mtns of NC) I avg 11 to 12 MPG....I do pull trailers and with my open 6 X 8 loaded (5000 lbs) get a steady 10.5 to 11 MPG....I've check many many times on paper and dash so these numbers on my truck is very accurate...Congrats on the Havoc! I got a Lunar on the way making TRX #3...😅

Now I do like Uconnect personally over my Raptors including the R....Maybe mine is the Android cause if it was Apple I would of kicked a hole in the radio by now....lmao...

Canceled my raptor order and bought a loaded 2023 TRX under MSRP. Best decision I’ve ever made. Don’t see myself in a raptor unless I sell my TRX

I am also a former Raptor owner and I really really loved it but in the year and a half of ownership and 15k miles, it was in the shop seven times!! I had bad valve covers which caused the oil consumption problem, a warped dashboard that had to be replaced, the leather came completely undone on the drivers seat and had to be replaced, it got stuck in 4wd and the vacuum manifold on the firewall had to be replaced, the fox live valve module had an issue and had to be replaced, the moon roof leaked and had to be serviced, and finally the straw that broke the camels back - lovely rod knock issues. My Raptor was my second EcoBoost and I was a fan of the motor until then. I finally traded it in on a HD2500 diesel truck and really hated that from a daily driver standpoint because I live quite a ways off pavement with lots of snow and the HD truck was worthless in the snow and rode like a hay wagon. I ordered my TRX in September of 2021 and took delivery in May of 2022. I got the level 2 fully loaded TRX minus a moon roof, spare tire carrier, and ram bar. I absolutely love everything about it with some small gripes. I too experience lag in the infotainment upon first start up but other than that, no issues. I am not a fan of the gas mileage but I'll take it over my Raptor any day. I do like the Gen3 Raptor's but I think my TRX is still a better all around truck. I've put almost 25k miles on it so far with absolutely zero issues whatsoever. 

PRO TIP: you can get into any mode you want with the arrow buttons under the TRX button - you don't have to use the big screen at all.

The TRX is better looking than the Raptor by a long shot...better exterior and better interior ...as far as looks go I'd say the TRX is the best looking truck ever made bar none.

From the sound of it, you didn't know about the "Snow Mode Fix" for the mileage issue; mileage will "jump" from single figures to around 15 around town. Still nothing to write home about, but a lot better than you were getting !

I never gave RAM a look until my brother got his TRX. That thing is so much fun to drive. I wish I had one lol. Id rather get 7-9MPG having a blast with this beast than with any other bag MPG car/Truck. Also +1 on the infotainment being so bad. but its nice when it works lol

Had a TRX and liked it but much prefer the light/nimble feel of the Raptors.

Ram had an offroad course set up for a TRX ride-along at the Dodge Roadkill Nights/Speed Week event last year and the drivers would send the truck off of a tabletop-style jump and it seemed to jump just fine to me... and they did this all day long with the 4 or 5 TRX's they had out there with no breakdowns that I was aware of... and they romped on these things just flying through the whoop section and hitting the tabletop jump at like 50mph as well as using launch control on every launch...

I have a Raptor 22, my infotainment system sucks. It goes black and my phone drops. The call stops, but if I switch to the phone and turn off Bluetooth it works. When I reverse it makes a loud screeching sound if I’m on a call. It’s like a is signal is mixing. The B&O system sucks major ass too.
