I’m blessed that next Thursday is my last student loan payment and I will be totally debt free. I own my condo and car outright. I have no credit card debt and I paid off Sallie Mae back in January. I cannot wait and will never owe anyone again. Great video.

As my husband likes to say we don’t need to the new new. Our cars are paid off and we are actively working on my student loans and will have them paid off in about two years. Love this.

Thanks. This was a reminder to me why my son decided not to go to college. He worked for 3 years and has now started a career with a large company who is going to pay for college. I'm very proud of his choice.♥️👍🏽

We really need to stop force-feeding kids the idea that they need to go to college. WE. NEED. TRADESMEN. When my son tells people he wants to go to a tech high school and graduate with a trade license, people try to talk him out of it, and try to talk him into college. He’s smarter than that. He has a mechanical mind like his father. He sees our family of four on one (almost debt-free) income!

This was definitely timely for me! I want to start my debt-free journey and get out of debt completely so I can live the life that I want to live. I was on my way to the nail shop to go spend $50 to get my nails filled with some fanciness for my birthday. I watched your video & I decided to call and cancel my appointment. I’m going to put that 50 bucks towards my debt and continue to do so until I’m out of debt.

So much truth here. Paid off our debt this summer. The process of making a budget every month and being more conscientious has been great and helped in other areas of my life too

This was a great video and people could learn a lot from you! My parents came here with 500 dollars when I was five years old and didn't know a word of English. Paid their house off in a upper middle class neighborhood in fiftenn years, paid for me and my brother to finish college at universities, and paid off our new cars when we were in high school. So if they can do it ANYONE can!..but it takes sacrifice, we have been here 25 years and they never been out to dinner, didn't go on vacations, and never had a credit card, didn't buy anything outside of their means. It can be done! And I'm extremely grateful. Now that me and my brother are successful we give back to them everything they deserve!❤️

My husband is a good example of something who has poor financial literacy. He grew up in a rural area in a poor military family. Luckily my dads career was in corporate finance so he taught me everything from a new age and so I taught everything to my hubby!! He’s so much better now!

“If your parents were a poor example, then you’re bound to be a poor example.” Nope!! That’s exactly why I had to make a change. Witnessing my mothers money habits was all the motivation I needed. It’s been over a year since I’ve educated myself. My mindset has changed so much and I’ve been budgeting ever since. It’s actually a breath of fresh air knowing where every single dollar is going. I also took advantage of the covid forbearance(zero interest accruing) and I’ve continued to make payments anyway. I’m on track to be debt free in 2 months!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The reasons why cars and colleges prices go up is because people are paying it. Get a used car you can afford and go to community college!

I love love your videos. Preach it girl. My husband and I married with 0 debt. We sold his car and used mine until it almost died on us. We just purchased a new car now so we have a car note. Everything was planned out though. We plan to only have the one car. My husband works from home so I’m the primary driver. We purchased the car already used, 2016 model. So it was a well oiled plan and between two of us, that’s the only debt we have. Credit cards we pay as we use so nothing there. I’m very happy with how we started and we are planning to keep it that way. We are making investments, one rental property purchased earlier this year. God has been faithful.

the middle class is broke because of $500/month payments for 7 years on cars that are dropping in value by 15% a year.

The student loans crisis is a government made problem. College get more expensive as the government throws more money at it.
