Hello everyone! Thank you for checking out the video. As of today, Samsung has removed this software from their website and integrated it into their Samsung Magician software. Instead of looking for the Data Migration link, just download and install the Magician software. Once installed, run the program and you will see a button on the left dedicated to data migration. From there, the process is the same.

Awesome video! I've never attempted this before. I bought a 2tb nvme SSD 990 pro for my HP envy laptop to upgrade from my 256gb nvme SSD. Piece of advice for other newbies that might run into this problem: Everything ran smooth until I got to the data migration (now seemingly called Samsung magician). It wouldn't allow me to begin the data migration of my 256gb SSD and it only showed "encrypted source drives cannot be replicated"
After some research I finally figured out it was because it was encrypted. I had to go to settings>privacy and security> device encryption and turn off the encryption.
This took many hours, not sure how long, I just let it run overnight and woke up to it completed. Then when I attempted the data migration again it allowed me to begin the process of cloning the SSD.

I highly appreciate you make the process from the VERY BEGINNING Initiliazation of the drive, also answering the beginners questions like DOES it matter what Drive Letter i choose, unfortunately you do not answer the question DOES it matter what Type (MBR / GPT) of initialization. You just show the correct setting. For a lot of other youtubers the sellers provide allready initialized drives (i don't know where to order them i only find offers for blank drives) So again thank you for also covering the very beginning, with the questions a starter would struggle.

Thank you for the video, it helped me in my quest to swap out the SSD on my new HP desktop. Your video helped calm my fears as I've never done anything this advanced on a PC. My HP came with a Samsung M.2 256GB SSD, and I upgraded it to a Samsung M.2 980 Pro SSD with heatsink. I used the SABRENT NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe X16/X8/X4 Card to initially house the 1TB SSD, and had to initialize and format the SSD before cloning. The Samsung migration software was so easy to use, it only took about 5min to clone the SSD. Once my HP shut down, I swapped out the drives, turned on the HP and then formatted the 256GB SSD and it works perfectly. The only step I didn't know would work was swapping out the SSDs. I just went for it and it all worked perfectly. Thank you again!
