In order to connect and access any other desktop you need remote desktop software. There are plenty of remote desktop software but I found this AnyDesk software quite easier and also small in size. By accessing another desktop you can copy or move files from your pc to another pc and vice-versa, even you can print, do anything like yours. You can also set limitation to others by setting password and also how much access you want to give to another pc.
