Regardless of the outcome in the parking lot the squad car t-boned the the alleged criminal's side of the car. The bad guy was in forward motion. The repeated talk by our hosts referencing an assault on a police officer, a very serious felony? When you make contact with a patrol unit like that? HUH? Assault on Law Enforcement? Not that incident. Just adding drama.

It's always amazing me how ignorant the studio newscasters about vehicles, streets, pursuits procedures. Listen to her: there are pedestrians, u-haul, some sort of semi so it's a very dangerous situation.... It's a street, woman. Of course, it's full of pedestrians, cars, and trucks. BUT why are you exaggerating "it very dangerous?" That vehicle moves with the normal speed and not causing any danger to anybody. Have a cup of coffee, take a break, or just keep quiet. Don't try to look smarter than you are. It makes you ridiculous.
