When I was a teenager, a friend of mine Ken adopted a few kittens. One day, when Ken was done in the garage, he closed the garage door. One of the kittens had been following him around, and got stuck behind him under the garage door. When Ken got up to his front door, he realized the kitten wasn't there. He ran back to the garage, wrenched open the door, and snagged the kitten. The kitten seemed okay, but freaked out Ken ran to the nearest Vet and had the kitten checked. The vet said the kitten had likely lost air to the brain for about a minute, but should live a full and healthy life.

From then on out, Ken noticed that the kitten was accepted by the other cats - but never seemed to act the same. He would meow at odd times, fall off of things that the other cats could balance on, chew on plastic and eat paper, sometimes even roll over for belly pets like a dog. All in all, he was a cat, just a really odd cat due to a physical incident.

Bart reminds me of that cat.
