Brody Malone did not finish high enough to compete in the individual all-around event.

Just like the women’s Chinese team, the US team also have a reputation of choking when it counted most. I only hope that they can get it together for team finals, as long as they all perform their best, the final placement doesn’t matter as much

He should’ve been left off the team! What a colossal failure… they need to stop propping up these favorites in the US that can’t perform under pressure… Malone was terrible😢

I feel for him. He had such a good US championships and a decent Oly trials. Hopefully he can help bring home a team medal.

so sad for him after performing so well in the lead up to today, coming back from a career ending injury and having such high expectations on him as a returning olympian and having one of the best domestic performances this year....he's an incredible gymnast, i can't wait to see what he brings to the TF and i pray he picks himself up and doesn't feel like he has to take so much responsibility! he still has lots to be proud of from qualifications even if it didn't go the way he planned. stay strong brody!!!

A very classy interview. Brody's a brilliant gymnast and he fought his way back from what would have been a career-ending injury for most gymnasts, less than a year and a half ago. He goes for difficult, very risky skills on the high bar and it's unfortunate that he had a bad day today but I know we will see much more of him in years to come.

I feel bad for him. Historically his ego got in his way. And will destroy him for making a mistake. Mistakes are not allowed with his values. I am sure he wants to cry
