Emiliano Sala's heartbreaking final phone call

FOOTIE star Emiliano Sala sent haunting voice messages to his friends revealing he feared his plane was going to “fall apart” shortly before the aircraft lost contact.

The new £15million Cardiff City signing, 28, is feared dead after the small private plane went off the radar over the English Channel yesterday.

Sala is understood to have sent WhatsApp voice messages to his pals as conditions rapidly worsened while he was in the air, Argentinian newspaper Ole reported.

It came as sources told The Sun that the Piper PA-46 Malibu plane, which was travelling from Nantes to Cardiff, only managed to take off after up to four attempts...

He said "estoy muerto". That really means "im tired" but literally means "I'm dead"

He says he's tired, this is due to fumes leaking into the fuselage from the engine, discovered when the plane was recovered. He and the pilot where over come by fumes.

I knew him when he was in Bordeaux. I saw him every Wednesday during training. He was so nice, he was really an exceptional man who had an incredible future ahead of him. When he left Les girondins de Bordeaux, I was pretty sad but I thought he was in a better team. I still remember his accent which was really pronounced and the name he gave me ... rest in peace Emiliano .. we will miss you 😔
