All the folks putting down John Garcia's vocals have no idea what they are talking about. He doesn't do crazy vocal gymnastics or hit high notes or have crazy vibrato, but he sure as hell puts more emotion into his singing than most singers. No one else does vocal hiccups or those light growls like he did. His voice perfectly fits this band.

What a time to be alive. I met these guys at a lil bar they played at bout this time on their tour in Albuquerque NM. Had em sign all my KYUSS promo cds and remember Josh asking me where the hell I had gotten the cds at lol. Told em I got em in a discount bin at Hastings lol I still to this day cant believe I got to hang out and chill with one of my all time favorite bands.

If you're a drummer you always catch yourself scanning drum kits on the screen to see what kind of drumheads and cymbals the drummer's using. Around 1:28 I noticed that Alfredo's using medium crash cymbals for hi-hats (if you slow down the speed you can see it real well). That's a damn significant easter egg when you think about how Homme used bass amps and cabinets for his guitar, how Alfredo used a 28" kick drum, and how he and Oliveri and Reeder were tuning down way before that was a thing (looking at you, Korn). It only makes sense that Alfredo would use crash cymbals for hi-hats. I'm surprised he's not using gongs. Just wish I knew what size the crashes were but I'm betting 16s

Got to see them opening for White Zombie well back. I've been a fan ever since. Not a lot of people seem to know them, and i think they influenced more bands than people realize.

I couldn't care how bad technically John Garcia is at singing...he suits the sound so well and couldn't imagine the band any other way

I like how the shot at about 29:11 of the black ovation got replicated dozens of times in concert footage for years afterwards. homme on that guitar is pure magic

The band rocks...bottom line. The lead guitar is interesting, the bass is bouncing, the drums are good, the vocals hold it all together when it matters. Look for the good in things, you ungrateful comment dwellers lol
