Looks like you will lose the gun, if you dont have a mission to the area. I went there twice in a row, with server hopping inbetween. Neither times had any glitches, but upon arrival the gun was gone. So you need to have a mission to keep that gun. Someone in another comment said that you can still detach the scope and keep it.

Unfortunately, this P6 glitches out for me constantly, been trying for a couple weeks now, but everytime I get it, and then accept a Mission, it disappears.

The P6 is there, but ALL ammo/ med pens and P6 itself de-spawn after leaving the planet and vanish from inventory. Sadly this farming method is no longer viable. As of 3.24.2.9381373
